Note: Rail is designed to mount to the left of your RV's door. If you mount it on the right, use all 3 holes and ensure that you either attach the bracket to a stud or drill through the wall of the coach and use long bolts (not included) with extra-large washers or a backing plate and nuts to secure the rail.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Lend-a-Hand Mini Folding RV Handrail in the white color. Now, this nice foldout rail makes getting into and out of your RV safer and easier. This rail is designed to mount to the left of your RV's door, has a nice latching mechanism that'll secure the handle in the open position for use, and then the folded position for travel. There's no tools required to switch the positions. Basically, all you have to do is lift up on it, you have your two mount in, you just lift up on this and then rotate it.
You can see that'll rotate and lock in that position up against your RV and be out of the way. Now, when it is closed, just to give you an idea, it is only, sticks out only about 2 1/2 inches, and then when you go to use it, if you just lift up on this, rotate it this way, and then lock it into that position, when it's extended, it extends out from the RV about 10 1/2 inches. If you noticed, it has this nice black foam padding here on the white handle, gives you a nice firm, comfortable grip, so your hand doesn't slip. It is an aluminum construction, very lightweight and rustproof, has a nice white powder coat finish on it to resist corrosion. Now, it is a very simple installation, it will mount to your RV's sidewall with the included two inch screws.
This is an example of one of the screws that is included to attach that to your RV. Now, what you wanna do is line up with the existing holes from your original rail, or you'll need to drill 1/8 inch pilot holes. Now, when you do install this, caulk is recommended to seal those drill holes before installing your screws. The caulk we do sell separately on our website, it's usually listed on this product page as a related product. Now, this part is made in the USA.
Few overall specs on this, the overall height, if we go that way, bottom to top is about 18 1/2 inches tall, including the mounts is right about 22 inches tall, the tubing on this is a one inch diameter tubing. But again, just to show you, if you go to close it, just rotate it that way, and it'll lock into the lock position. And then when you go to open it, you can just lift it up, put it in the lock. Now, I didn't show you, but you can go this way also if need be. But that should do it for the review on this Lend-a-Hand Mini Folding RV Handrail in the white color..

Just finished the install on the rear door of a grand design momentum/ it will help my wife feel safer as it gives her a handle to hold all the way down the steps/ easy install just follow the direction I left the original handle in place and put the top of the new handle about two inches above the old so we can use either

Three photos of my recent handrail purchase are attached. They
show the rail folded flat against the side of the trailer, in
position for use with the stairs and across the door for travel.
This is a 2017 Keystone trailer. I left the small original grab
handle in place.

This is just what I needed for the front door of my travel trailer. It matches the grab handle on the rear door exactly, same brand, same dimensions. Installation was fast and easy, and now I am more comfortable using that secondary entrance. Fast shipping and great service as usual from etrailer

The handle was easily installed though it did need a little re-positioning. This handle is so much better than the handle installed on our camper.

The Lend-A-Hand RV Handrail looks and works great. I installed the mounting screws into the stud near the door frame. Very sturdy. I put a dab of silicone caulk into the holes per manufacturer's suggest. Directions enclosed were simple and concise. Took about 15 minutes. The handrail shipped right on time and I was able to track my order online.

This is my first time ordering from etrailer and won't be the last. The hand rail is even larger than I anticipated! My husband put it on our Coachman travel trailer the same day it arrived! As I am getting older I am having issues from old knee injuries with mobility. This works great to assist me getting in and out of our camper. It has easy instructions to install and It folds away for travel. I wish I would have found it sooner. Big thumbs up!

Easy to install and use. Does what it's supposed to. My wife and I are getting old. This hand rail makes it a lot safer using the steps. Before I installed the railing my wife slipped on the steps suffering a bad broken ankle. Two plates, a lot of screws, and a lot of pain in her ankle could have been prevented.
